Dr. Elise Tran joins Spine Team Texas with extensive training and experience in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Prior to joining Spine Team Texas, Dr. Tran completed her residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was a surgical intern at the Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. She earned her medical degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. While in medical school, Dr. Tran earned several awards from the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents including DO Student of the Month.
Being a patient advocate and team player, Dr. Tran has a vital role in identifying a patient’s needs and working with a team of physical therapists and medical doctors to provide comprehensive and personalized care to reach optimal function. She has been extensively trained in nerve conduction/EMG studies, management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, trigger point injections, physical rehabilitation, and oral medications. Dr. Tran also believes in helping patients achieve more balanced nutrition and increasing activity levels for overall good health.
Dr. Tran stays up-to-date on medical news and trends as a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R), Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP), and the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOCPM&R). She also served as an abstract reviewer for the AAPM&R and AAP. She has been published and has made presentations to various medical organizations.

Dr. Tran is a Texas native and in her spare time enjoys playing the piano and attending musical performances. Her love of the arts and music has earned her a seat as a performer in both orchestra and jazz band throughout her years. Leading an active lifestyle, she enjoys doing numerous physical activities such as tennis.
