David Rothbart, MD, FACS, FACPE
Board-certified neurosurgeon, specializing in
minimally invasive techniques
As an experienced neurosurgeon, Dr. Rothbart employs the latest minimally
invasive techniques for spine surgery. Before founding Spine Team Texas,
Dr. Rothbart had a busy private practice with offices in Las Colinas and
Grapevine. The former medical director of neurosurgery at Baylor Medical
Center at Irving and Grapevine, Dr. Rothbart also practiced for several years
at the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and was appointed associate professor
of neurosurgery at Rush College of Medicine in Chicago. His professional
training includes a fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute and a residency
at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Rothbart has been published in
numerous peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international
meetings.

Juan Bartolomei, MD
Neurosurgeon, specializing in minimally invasive
techniques
Dr. Bartolomei is a neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery.
As a founding partner of the Southlake-based practice, Dr. Bartolomei is
committed to offering patients the utmost in innovation and high quality
clinical outcomes. Before joining Spine Team Texas, he was an Assistant Professor
of Neurosurgery at Yale University School of Medicine and Co-Director of
the Yale Spine Center. He obtained his medical degree from Yale University
School of Medicine, where he also did his residency. During his residency
he underwent specialized spine training in London. Dr. Bartolomei completed
fellowship training at the renowned Barrow Neurological Institute. During
his professional career, he has made presentations across the country and
serves as faculty in national meetings teaching specialized spine procedures
to the neurosurgical community. He also serves as a member of the national
outcomes committee for Joint Section of Spine and has been published in peer-re
view journals and written chapters in the treatment of spinal disorders.

Ryan S. Reeves, MD
Physiatrist, specializing in the non-surgical
relief of back and neck pain
Dr. Reeves is a fellowship-trained physical medicine and rehabilitation
(PMR) physician, specializing in the non-surgical relief of back pain at
Spine Team Texas. Dr. Reeves completed his fellowship at Orthopaedic Spine
Specialists, and has also published articles in peer reviewed journals as
well as textbook chapters on interventional spine procedures. Dr. Reeves completed his residency at Ohio State University and his internship at Detroit
Medical Center after obtaining his degree in biology from Wayne State University.

Michael D. Garcia, MD
Physiatrist, specializing in the non-surgical
relief of back and neck pain
Dr. Garcia is a fellowship-trained physiatrist at Spine Team Texas, specializing
in the non-surgical relief of back and neck pain through acute pain management,
including spinal injections such as epidural steroid injections. His focus
is on diagnosing, managing and interventionally treating spinal disorders
and musculoskeletal dysfunction. Dr. Garcia completed his fellowship in spine
and sports medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center
in Denver, where he also completed his residency. He attended The University
of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he earned his medical degree
after completing his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University.

Heather A. Blackburn, MD
Physiatrist, focused on the non-surgical relief
of back and neck pain
A skilled physiatrist specializing in women's health issues as they relate
to the spine, Dr. Heather A. Blackburn joined Spine Team Texas in 2006 to
provide non-surgical back and neck pain relief. Her dedication to women's
care spans all generations from the young female athlete to the sufferer
from osteoporosis. She also is trained in electromyography and nerve conduction
studies. Dr. Blackburn received her medical degree from The University of
Texas Medical Branch and her undergraduate degree in biology from Baylor
University. She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation
at William Beaumont Hospital, one of the premier spine centers in Michigan.

Justin Keller, PT, MPT, OCS, CSCS
Physical therapist, focused on the rehabilitation
of the spine
Focusing on orthopaedic spine rehabilitation, Justin Keller leads the physical
therapy team at Spine Team Texas. Before joining Spine Team Texas, Justin
served as Director of Rehabilitation at Texas Back Institute in Plano. He
also has worked with patients at Physiotherapy Associates of Plano. Justin
earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a master's degree in physical
therapy at Northern Arizona University. He has been named an Orthopaedic
Certified Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association and is
a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as deemed by the National
Strength and Conditioning Association.

Michelle Hatley, PT, MPT, Cert. MDT
Physical therapist, focused on the rehabilitation
of the spine
With her certification in spine-related therapy and mechanical diagnosis
from the McKenzie Institute, Michelle Hatley provides the patients at Spine Team
Texas with spine specialized physical therapy. Prior to joining Spine Team
Texas, Michelle worked as a staff therapist at Advanced Therapy Services
and HealthSouth Rehabilitation in Fort Worth. Her range of experience there
provided her skills to treat musculoskeletal disorders, postural instabilities,
general orthopedics, chronic pain and post surgical rehabilitation. Michelle
received her bachelor of arts degree in biology from Baylor University and
her master's degree in physical therapy at the University of Texas El Paso.
Annette Lettiere, PT, MPT
Physical therapist, focused on the rehabilitation
of the spine
Annette Lettiere is a licensed physical therapist, experienced in restoring function
and movement in patients through manual skills and exercise. Annette worked
at Southern Physical Therapy in Tennessee and at Lake Centre for Rehabilitation
in Florida, before joining Spine Team Texas. Annette is fluent in Spanish
and earned her master's degree in physical therapy at the University of Tennessee
Health Science Center in Memphis. She is a member of the American Physical
Therapy Association, the Texas Physical Therapy Association and the McKenzie
Institute. Annette participates in several continuing education courses dedicated
to the treatment of the spine. She is also trained in mechanical diagnosis
and treatment from the McKenzie Institute and is currently pursuing her certification.
Audrey Merritt, PT
Physical therapist, specializing in the rehabilitation
of the spine
Audrey Merritt brings 16 years of experience in the area of physical therapy to
Spine Team Texas. Before joining Spine Team Texas, Audrey worked at St. Paul
University Hospital in Dallas where she became proficient in managing lymphedema
conditions, musculoskeletal disorders, postural instabilities and general
orthopedics. Audrey obtained her bachelor's degree in physical therapy from
Russell Sage College in New York. She has a special interest in the treatment
of a variety of musculoskeletal disorders, including sacroiliac dysfunction,
core strengthening and retraining, postural dysfunction and other manual-based
treatments.
Christy Mosqueda
Nurse
Christy Mosqueda brings years of experience to Spine Team Texas, where she
serves patients and physicians each day as a registered nurse. Christy's
diverse nursing background and positive attitude enhance the quality of care
we offer. Christy is a member of the Association of Perioperative Registered
Nurses (AORN). She attained her registered nursing degree from the Jefferson
School of Nursing.
